You set your interview date. Your calendar maps the way.
Smart Calendar places the sessions, lessons and interview reports that matter for your interview into your free slots. Every suggestion says why it’s there, and you decide.
- Your interview date is set: Lazard, in 21 days.
- It places its suggestions in your free slots.
- Every suggestion says why it’s there.
- You accept: it joins your calendar.
- Not now: it moves to another day.
- Your week is ready, around what was already planned.

Anatomy of a suggestion
Every card says why it’s there.
A suggestion reads in a few seconds. Watch it build up, or hover over a part to understand it.
Example
Already mastered, not this topic, too long: each reason shapes what comes next.
Good habits
Get the most out of your calendar.
Five simple habits: the plan is only as accurate as your calendar.
Enter your interviews as soon as you have them
Bank, team, round and date: the whole plan builds on them.
Keep your calendar honest
Classes, workouts, appointments: where you’re busy, it places nothing.
Answer, with a reason
Too long, already mastered, not this topic: each reason fixes exactly what was off.
Do what you accept
That day or the next: the time slot gets stronger for what follows.
Date moved? Change it right away
Otherwise the plan prepares for the wrong day.
Frequently asked questions
What people ask us most often about this feature.
What is Smart Calendar?
It’s the part of the OctoFin calendar that suggests what to work on and when. Based on your interviews, your memory of each question, what you’ve read and your free slots, it places sessions, refreshers, lessons and interview reports all the way to your last interview, each with the reason it was chosen.
Is an AI deciding my schedule?
No. It’s a rule-based engine: it puts a value on every possible activity based on your prep, then places it in your free slots following fixed rules (two suggestions a day at most, nothing before tomorrow, nothing on an interview day). Every suggestion shows its reason, and it only becomes an event in your calendar if you accept it.
Do I need an interview scheduled to use it?
No. With no interview, it lays down three weeks of groundwork, as long as it has something to work with: a target field you told us about when you signed up, or questions you’ve already practiced. As soon as you add an interview, the plan stretches to its date, eight weeks at most.
What happens if I turn a suggestion down?
It depends on what you tap. “Not now” moves it to another day that week. “Bad suggestion” removes it and, depending on the reason, replaces it: a five-question check if you say you’ve mastered the topic, a short session if it’s too long, the closest interview report if you dismiss one. The replacement shows up in the bubble.
Can I hide the suggestions?
Yes: the “Smart Calendar suggestions” switch in the calendar sidebar hides them. They aren’t deleted: when you turn it back on, you’ll find them just as you left them, moves included.
Your plan starts tomorrow.
Add your next interview date: your calendar fills up as soon as you open it.
