Overview

Two back-to-back interviews, on video. The first, with an analyst, starts from the CV and drifts into technicals: valuation, the bridge to equity value, one accounting question. The second, with a VP, goes back over motivation and a recent deal. Friendly tone, sharp follow-ups.

How it went, in the candidate’s words

The overview tells the interview in their own words: how it unfolded, the format, whatever they thought was worth knowing.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most often about this feature.

Where do the interview reports come from?

They are real interviews, reported by candidates, in investment banking and neighboring roles. The database holds more than 500 and is reviewed; every new submission is read by an administrator before it is published.

What does an interview report contain?

The bank, the city, the team, the position, the process stage, the interview type, the format, the length, the difficulty and the outcome, then the overview, the panel and how the candidate felt, and the list of questions asked.

Can I filter by bank and by team?

Yes, and by ten other criteria: position, sector, city, interview type, stage, difficulty, outcome, education level, deal size and year. Every menu takes several choices, and the search also reads the text of the questions asked.

How do I submit my own report?

From “Submit an interview report” at the top of the page. Every field is required and you can publish anonymously. Your submission always starts as pending review: it is published after review, or rejected with a reason you will find in “My recent submissions”.

Are the interview reports available in English?

Yes, once their translation is published: the report says so (“Translated from French”) and the original stays one click away with “View original”. Otherwise, the report shows in the language it was written in.
